why media failed in Tamilnadu election?

Tamilnadu issues

Tamilnadu had witnessed a keen battle between fronts led by DMK and AIADMK. Most of the media joined hands with AIADMK front. They wanted Ms. Jayalalitha to come back to power. The entire media except few were against DMK front. It was for 2 reasons. One - they did not want the monopoly of Sun TV. Two - they were against the acquisition of Dinakaran, a tamil daily by sun network group. Dinakaran is being sold at rs.1 now. So, if dmk came to power their monopoly will grow - that was the thinking of the entire media. Hence they opposed DMK. But they had failed in their attempt to prevent DMK from coming to power.

Why ?

The media published news items about Jayalalitha possitively. We can say that media glorified the campaign of Jaya. But it was not enough. They had failed to bring out the mistakes of 13 Union ministers from Tamilnadu, who belong to DMK led front. All of the ministers knowingly or unknowingly must have done some mistakes in their departments. Media should have brought out and highlighted them.

On one side they should have tarnished the image of DMK led front and simultaneously projected Jaya's achievements.

But they had not pointed out the mistakes of the Union ministers. This seems to be the reason for the failure of media .
